Still working on my Assault Intercessors for my Blood Angels army and got to say, I'm loving the new push fit system for the models. Finding it really useful to be able to take a piece off and paint it and put it back on again.
In the past I always glued everything together and then painted. This new system really helps to get to those hard to reach places.
This particular one is a sergeant, I started with his head:
I started with the eyes and teeth, personally I prefer to start there, with Corax White (horrible grainy paint but it has it's uses). I've seen a number of videos where the eyes are done last, this to me (and from experience) can cause more problems when doing such a tiny detail. Doing it first, if any paint goes over the intended area, I can easily touch it up when I do the skin. Then it's the rest with a simple base coat of Bugmans Glow for the skin, Averland Sunset for the hair and good old Leadbelcher for the armour.
Finally I touched up the hair with Averland Sunset again, highlighted the skin with Cadian Fleshtone and a bit Warlock Purple on the tongue. Quite pleased with how the head has turned out, just hope I can finish the rest to the same standard.
